Euro Grass B.V. Lippstadt plans the production in co-operation with the three production companies EuroGrass B.V. the Netherlands, DSV and Hunsballe Frø. As the main production is placed in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands Euro Grass offers a very wide range of seed for forage and turf use – meeting almost every demand of the market.

Production and Supply

The production is streamlined to reflect fluctuations in the business – allowing a prompt reaction on changing demands. Euro Grass takes advantage of different climatic conditions i.e. the individual species will be grown at the most efficient location. Euro Grass is able to supply seed on a high level of quality and seed yield – in forage as well as in turf. This is a result of stringent production planning and strong breeding values. The experienced and well trained field advisors work very closely with the farmers producing the seed, helping them to achieve the best results inseed quality, purity and yield.

Quality

Euro Grass is the tangible result of a vision of quality and added value. The strength in quality is reflected by outstanding grass varieties and grass mixtures. But quality comprises more than breeding. It is also a matter of excellent logistics, reliable supplier-customer relationship and last but not least professional seed quality control.

Quality control

Euro Grass works on high level to ensure good germination and purity of the seed. Own laboratories in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands with modern equipment as well as qualified staff fulfil that purpose. The laboratory in Sørby (Denmark) is officially ISTA-accredited for grass and clover species. Highly trained personnel issues official certificates according to the guidelines set by the International SeedTesting Association. Euro Grass intensely works with quality standards to maintain its accreditation – making sure ISTA standards are met at all times. After a successful audit the ISTA accreditation is allocated for three years. In the years between the audits the standards are verified by the Danish authorities and the internal quality management. In addition, Euro Grass is continuously involved in the development of new technologies making the laboratories even more quality oriented and efficient.

Logistics

Logistics is an important issue for Euro Grass due to a large scale production in several countries. Euro Grass’ internal standards are defined on a high level in order to meet the needs and demands of the international customers. The logistic departments in all 3 production countries plan the most efficient delivery process and are working vigorously to ensure the adequate execution of orders i.e. the goods will be shipped in due time, right quantity, packaging and pristine condition. Euro Grass is in a close relationship with reliable and competitive logistic partners and requires familiarity with the industry, knowledge about the customers and the goods as well as a safe transport. The warehouse capacities in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands offer flexible solutions in terms of reliability, delivery time and condition. Therefore orders will be processed immediately and the goods will be ready for shipment within a few working days. In addition the central logistic in Lippstadt, Germany, is in a close and daily contact with the local departments, allocating contracts to the relevant country to ensure a perfect organisation.
